MEET ASHLEY
Ashley Hernandez (she/her/hers), MSW, LCSW
I am originally from northern California but have lived in Portland for the past ten years. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Warner Pacific University in 2016 and went on to get my Master’s of Social Work from George Fox University in 2018.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, my dog, and playing volleyball. I like to explore nature with a backpack full of snacks.
SERVICES PROVIDED
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I offer individual therapy virtually and at my office located in SE Portland.
I believe we do our best healing when we feel comfortable and safe.

I take a client-centered and trauma-informed approach in treatment. Iam trained in using DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing). I have experience working with anxiety, stress management, depression, gender dysphoria, and trauma. I also have experience working with the LGBTQ community.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with teens and young adults (18-28). If you are going through a transition, or needing support in managing life's stressors, I believe I can be of service.
RATES FOR INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I want therapy to feel accessible and stress free financially. The fee is based on what fits within your lifestyle. Please do not hesitate to call regarding prices.
All ranges refer to one session, lasting 50 minutes.

$200-$160: I am able to comfortably meet all basic needs. (i.e. food, shelter, bills)
​
$160-$130: At times I stress about meeting my basic needs, but regularly achieve them.
​
$130-$100: I often struggle to meet my basic needs. (i.e. bills, food, shelter)

I do not take insurance

While I am not on any insurance panels, services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

Do I have mental health insurance benefits for an out of network provider?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?

CLINICAL CONSULTATION
I offer clinical consultation regarding the following subjects:
- Suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors in teens.
- Working with LGBTQ folks, non-binary, and transgender teens.
- High conflict family dynamics.
- Building rapport with hard to engage teens and kids.
I offer a sliding scale for consultations between $90-$130. I invite you to choose the fee that is right for you. I do not require a proof of income. Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding prices.
